GREEN LIGHT FROM COUNCIL FOR SENIORS LIVING DEVELOPMENT

Tamworth Regional Council has approved a $42-million seniors living development at Moore Creek.
The development looks to include around 60 self-contained units and another 60 beds in a two storey aged care facility, including a dementia wing.
A community centre and bowling green are also part of the proposal.
“It is a mix of living that is badly needed in our area, like all communities we have an ageing populations that are looking for alternative place to live,” Acting Mayor Helen Tickle, Tamworth Regional Council.
The project will now be referred to the Regional Joint Planning Panel.
