INQUEST FINDS POLICE HAD NO OPTION BUT TO SHOOT AUSTRALIA POST WORKER

An inquest has found two police officers had no other option but to shoot an Australia Post worker, who lunged at them with a knife at Lake Macquarie.
Long time employee Stephen Hodge was killed in 2015, the 51-year-old shot four times at Warners Bay after trying to stab his manager.
Today, an inquest cleared the two constables of any wrongdoing, but recommended the police force implement more training for mental health.
