Police have now left the scene of a waterfront home on Soldiers Point Road, where the bodies of a couple, aged in their 70s, were found this afternoon.
Officers have told NBN News they were alerted to the situation at around 12:30 after being contacted by someone who knew the pair.
We’ve been assured this was not a murder-suicide scenario.
The investigation is being finalised.
