CALLS TO SPEED UP BUILDING OF BY-PASS AFTER FATALITY

Singleton Mayor Sue Moore has called on the Baird Government to speed up the process of building a dual-lane bypass of the town.

It comes after a 26-year-old man died after a nasty crash on the notorious stretch at Whittingham yesterday afternoon.

A 22-year-old man and woman aged 23 were also injured, they remain in a stable condition.

Member for Upper Hunter Michael Johnsen today told NBN News an announcement on the project’s preferred route is expected in the coming weeks.
