PORTER BOOKS HER TICKET TO TOKYO AS AUSSIE SOFTBALL TEAM QUALIFIES

Tamworth’s Stacey Porter is heading to yet another Olympic Games, following Australia’s clean-sweep at this week’s Asia and Oceania Olympic Qualifiers.

Yesterday, the Aussies defeated China 9-3 in their final match of the tournament.

Captain Porter will now chase her third Olympic medal at Tokyo next year.

Softball returns to the Olympic schedule next year, after it was removed following the 20-08 Beijing Games.
