KALANG RIVER BRIDGE NAMED AFTER GUMBAYNGGIRR ELDER UNCLE TOM KELLY

A new bridge on the Pacific Highway has been named after respected Aboriginal Elder, Uncle Tom Kelly.

The bridge over the Kalang river at Urunga forms part of the $780 million Nambucca Heads-to-Urunga Pacific Highway upgrade.

Minister for Roads Melinda Pavey says the naming of the bridge is a fitting tribute to Uncle Tom Kelly.

The Gumbaynggirr Elder has worked to improve access to education and the arts for local children.

wonderful news that this is to be the name of the bridge on the new highway. Why is there no audio with this video clio, other than the swish of passing traffic.?
