FUNDING FOR NEW TREES IN THE KOALA CAPITAL
Seven landholders in Gunnedah have together received a $95,000 boost from the state government, to restore koala habitats in and around the koala capital.
Around 20-hectares of occupied habitat will be improved, with a three year forecast suggesting more than 9,500 koala food and shelter trees will be planted.
Of course, not only will the koalas be kept happy, but other wildlife will also benefit.
