COMMUNITY WARNED NOT TO SWIM IN COFFS CREEK FOLLOWING SEWERAGE SPILL

Normally it would have been packed with Easter holidaymakers, however Coffs Creek was empty of people today after the public was advised not to swim or fish in the area.
Coffs Harbour City Council became aware of a sewerage spill in Coffs Creek yesterday morning and has since erected signs along the affected area.
Council staff spent today patrolling the creek.
“Usually it’s so full with people and tourists, and yeh usually its a lot of fun, but not this year.”
Further samples were taken, with updates expected in the morning.
