TAREE HIGH STUDENT SERGE MORCOMBE HAS MADE IT ONE STEP CLOSER TO A DANCING DREAM

It was a proud moment for Taree High Student Serge Morcombe today, progressing to the next round of selections for the Indigenous Bangarra Dance Group.
The 14-year-old is hoping to land a spot in the dance crew – which could see him perform at Sydney’s School Spectacular in November.
Serge is now half-way through the audition process- competing against dancers from 10 schools.
“The dance, I was use to it but I was relaxing and just keep contemporary for me just to dance for fun and enjoy my culture and to represent my school and town.”
The dance group gives indigenous kids a chance to perform in a contemporary sense while representing their culture.
