Former Armidale priest David John Perret has had his bail revoked and has been taken into custody.
It comes as New England police charged him with 30 additional counts of child sexual assault.
The 81-year-old was already fronting court in relation to more than 60 charges of a similar nature – after being extradited to New South Wales in May last year.
Police allege the incidents occurred between 1960 and 1990.
More than 30 victims have come forward.
The matter returns to court in October.
