Coffs Harbour City Council has agreed to support the establishment of a Joint Organisation with Bellingen Shire, Clarence Valley and Nambucca Shire Councils.
Joint Organisations are intended to strengthen regional coordination and improve the delivery of infrastructure and services.
Council held off on the decision last month, with the initial regional forum proposed to link all the councils between Port Macquarie and the Clarence Valley.
If approved by the Minister for Local Government, the Joint Organisation may be operational by July.
