Major changes to the safety of quad bikes have been proposed by the A-triple-C in a bid to reduce injuries.
The Commission is calling for star safety rating to be introduced and manufacturers to integrate protection devices such as crush or roll over protection.
Quad bike accidents result in an average 16 deaths across the country each year.
Interested parties can have their say through the A-triple-C’s website by May 4.
