The north west and New England region’s are making a significant contribution to the state’s tourism boom, according to the latest International Visitor Survey.
Conducted through Tourism Research Australia, the report reveals a visitation increase of just over 21 per cent, with almost 43,000 international visitors flocking to the Northern Tablelands last calender year.
The spike in visitors has seen local businesses and tourism operators reaping in the benefits.
New England and the north west are the 41st ranked region in Australia for international visitors.
