TRAIN YOURSELF FOR BACKWARDS TRAVEL

The state opposition claims Hunter and Central Coast rail passengers are in for an uncomfortable ride, due to government penny pinching.
Labor says documents, obtained under Freedom of Information, confirm that new intercity trains will be fitted with fixed, not reversible seating… meaning some passengers will make their journey facing backwards.
The government says half the seats will face the direction of travel, while seats at either end of the carriage will be configured for families and groups.
