A man in his 20’s has died after the car he was travelling in hit a tree in Congewai, 20-kilometres south of Cessnock, just after 1 o’clock this morning.
The 28-year old driver and a 25-year-old passenger were taken to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances surrounding the event.
