PORT MACQUARIE’S NORTH SHORE NEEDS MORE FIREFIGHTERS

Whether it’s a car accident, house or bushfire, firefighters are called on to assist.

But a lack of volunteers at the North Shore Rural Fire Brigade has become a real concern… the branch urgently seeking more members.

“If we don’t have more firefighters over here, the community is what suffers. We’ve got three fire trucks 300 odd houses, if we don’t have crews for those trucks we can’t come and assist when you ring triple zero” – Tim Hitchins – RFS North Shore Deputy Captain.

The service is calling on residents to attend an information session this Saturday from midday.
