Big crowds are expected at Bowraville on Boxing Day for the Phillip Hughes Memorial Race Day.
With a large number of horses entered to race, jockey club officials say they are worried that they may have a shortage of jockeys.
The Boxing Day event has traditionally been a time for family get-togethers at the picturesque country race track.
The feature race will be the ‘ Phillip Hughes Flying ‘ over 1000 metres.
Gates open at 11am.
