Former world tour surfer Matt Banting says he’s taken plenty away from the Great Lakes Pro at Boomerang Beach.
Despite being edged out by Newcastle’s Jackson Baker in the semis, the 23-year-old from Port Macquarie was happy with his return to competition after 14 months off with a pelvic injury.
