NEW TRANSPORT VEHICLE FOR LEUKAEMIA SUFFERERS

Leukaemia sufferers in the Northern Rivers have been offered some piece of mind today when it comes to getting to medical appointments.
A new patient transport vehicle donated to the region, by the Newcastle Permanent’s Charitable Foundation.
“The cars in this area clock up about 50,000-kilometres a year so they provide a vital link to ensure patients are transported without any stress” said Chris McMillian from the Leukaemia Foundation.
“To provide a free access transportation for people undergoing treatment for leukaemia and their families during that stressful period this was a totally worthwhile project for us” said Newcastle Permanent’s Michael Slater.
The vehicle will service patients from Yamba, to Byron Bay and Casino.
