DAM LEVELS LOWEST SUMMER POINT IN A DECADE
The Hunter’s dam levels are in a freefall, with Hunter Water concerned about the lack of rain on the horizon.
Overall, levels are at about 70 per cent, but anything below 60 will see level one restrictions imposed in the Lower Hunter.
Hunter Water Managing Director Jim Bentley is urging residents to enact Water Wise actions, to conserve as much as they can.
“We’re currently forecasting if we don’t get significant rain, that could be around April.”
Dam levels are at their lowest summer point in a decade.
