LAKE MACQUARIE CITY COUNCIL SIGNS UP FOR SURFEST CHARITY CUP

Lake Macquarie Council will enter a team in Surfest’s inaugural Evolution Charity Cup, and it’s going to be hard to beat.
“We think it’s a great cause, the Mark Hughes foundation, we just wanted to showcase some of the talented surfers we have amongst out lifeguard team.”
The team will feature several familiar faces, as well as former World Qualifying Series competitor, Byron Howarth (how-eth).
“Lake Macquarie’s brought me out of retirement to compete at the charity event at 2018 Surfest.”
“Lucky enough to be surfing with some great surfers like Jakey Sylvester and James McMorland.”
The Charity Cup will take place at Dixon Park on February 23.
