Authorities believe a lightning strike is the cause of a fire at the Mullumbimby Seventh Day Adventist Church overnight.
It took 13 firefighters around two hours to put out the blaze which caused extensive damage to the second storey of the building early this morning.
Forensic crews returned to the scene today, but police aren’t treating the fire as suspicious.
