The trough and associated front is on the move and will help flare up showers and storms. The southerly change will be the strongest of the year.
Becoming cloudy with strong southerly winds. Showers and rain developing as the system moves quickly across the region during the day.
A large dangerous swell will also form.
The heat will be cleared and the cooler conditions will continue into the weekend with coastal showers becoming a regular feature.
