DROUGHT RELIEF IN SIGHT

The Department of Primary Industries is reminding local landholders they’re entitled to part of a $300-million drought relief package.
Under the scheme, a range of services are available to help better prepare farmers for future drought conditions, while working though the current dry climate.
In the last financial year alone, the Rural Assistance Authority approved 331 loans totalling more than $53-million.
