Growing traffic ahead of the Country Music Festival is already causing chaos along Brisbane Street.
It will remain open during the event, while some closures are already in place.
From 6 o’clock this morning, Fitzroy Street between Smith Place and Kable Avenue, and Kable Avenue from Brisbane to Fitzroy streets, were shut to motorists.
They’ll reopen on January 30.
Peel Street closures will come into effect from 5am Friday between White and Brisbane streets.
