TAMWORTH RFS CREWS CONTINUE TO BATTLE BLAZES
Rural Fire Services crews from the lower and mid-north coast have returned home today, after help local brigades fight a number of fires in the Tamworth region.
Three fires are currently burning to the north of Tamworth, in dense bush land.
The Roseneath fire at Watson’s Creek started on Christmas Eve and is currently under control.
It’s already burnt through more than 1100 hectares..
The Rural Fire Services says there are no homes under threat with the closest structure more than one-kilometre away.
To the south, a fire is also burning at Scrub Creek near Niangala – with remote aerial crews assisting.
