Residents on the Northern Tablelands now have more places to claim some cash, through the state government’s container deposit scheme.
A reverse vending machine has now been activated in Guyra, allowing residents to claim a 10-cent refund for their used containers.
The collection point has been installed at the town’s existing recycling centre, while another vending machine in Armidale is expected to be activated in the coming days.
The two new machines are in addition to others located at Inverell, Moree and Glen Innes.
