FEDERAL GOVT FRONTS UP FUNDING FOR ROUNDABOUT IN ARMIDALE

There’ll soon be better access to Armidale’s refurbished airport, with the federal government making a $1-million contribution to install a new two-lane roundabout on the New England Highway.

“Which is going to be part of increasing the industrial capacity of Armidale, open up a new industrial area.”

Construction of the $3.2-million project will begin early next year…

And will support a proposed industrial sub-division on the eastern side of the highway.

“So that business has access to the New England Highway, has access to the airport, that is in a prime position, hence the interest in getting that industrial park up and going.”
