TAMWORTH COUNCIL SET TO DEBATE USE OF EVAPORATIVE COOLING SYSTEMS

Tamworth councillors will debate the use of evaporative cooling systems at tomorrow night’s council meeting.
Currently, the Drought Management Plan bans residents from using evaporative cooling systems once level five water restrictions come into force.
Council is now being urged to scrap the ban, as the measure is considered unenforceable.
Level three restrictions are currently in place – council expects level four water restrictions to be implemented in the new year, if the dry weather continues.
