MAN CHARGED AFTER ALLEGEDLY POSTING THREATENING ONLINE VIDEO
A man will face court after he allegedly called for the murder of police officers in an online video.
Police say a series of abusive posts about police had been posted online for a considerable time, before the video concerned was posted to the internet last week.
In the video, the man allegedly outlined plans to kill police officers and encourages others to do the same.
Police successfully applied for warrants for the arrest of the 37-year-old man from northern NSW, and at around 1.30pm on Wednesday, he was arrested by Queensland Police Service in Brisbane’s CBD.
He has been extradited to Lismore, where he will be charged with solicit to murder, and sending a threatening document to kill.
