A new initiative is set to see more university graduates take up teaching jobs in rural and remote areas.
From 20-18 the state government will fully fund the university degrees of 60 new teachers, if they accept a posting at one of 150 eligible rural public schools, including 19 on the Northern Tablelands.
Students awarded the scholarship must maintain a credit average throughout their studies.
