WORK PROGRESSES ON GLEN INNES HIGH UPGRADE
It was once a old jail, that was converted into a school many years ago now, work is progressing on the $1.2-million upgrade of Glen Innes High School.
“One of the big charms of this school is the fact that its got some beautiful old heritage building, as the money needed to be spent to maintain them.”
Due to be complete early next year, the upgrade will see a new main entrance and outdoor learning area, as well as improved disability access.
The original central administration building will also be overhauled – set to be fitted out with the latest technology.
“It was a very old run down building. It hadn’t been touched probably for about 100 years, and sort of very much a very old facility.”
