Thomas Foods International’s Tamworth operation is currently under fire, with Council investigating employee living conditions.
It’s being alleged migrant workers are being crammed into overcrowded residences.
The Australiasian Meat Industry Employees Union has released a report, claiming 80 per cent of the region’s Thomas Foods workers are from overseas.
Thomas Foods says it’ll also be conducting inquiries into the matters.
