After months of speculation, the new policing model for regional New South Wales has been revealed.
In the Hunter, two new police commands – now called districts – have been formed.
The southern part of the Central Hunter command will join Hunter Valley.
While, Central Hunter’s northern sectors will be taken on by Port Stephens.
The Police Commissioner says the restructure is designed to put more police back on the frontline.
