BARNABY BITES BACK
Barnaby Joyce has taken some heat at two education forums this week, as the New South Wales Teachers Federation questioned his backing of cuts to schools and TAFE across the New England.
The Teachers Federation President says the next two years could see huge losses for the electorate.
“The Turnbull Government has introduced legislation in the Parliament in June that has the effect of cutting $26-million out of funding of public schools in the New England alone,” NSW Teachers Federation President, Maurie Mulheron.
But Mr Joyce has since released a video in response.
He says Bundarra Central School has had a 30 per cent increase in funding since 20-13.
“And what’s interesting about that is, that’s the average increase across our electorate. So when people tell you that we’ve had a reduction or are getting a reduction, that is just not the truth,” Nationals candidate, Barnaby Joyce.
