CHANGE ON THE WAY FOR HUNTER STREET MALL

Change could be just around the corner in Hunter Street Mall, with occupants of The Emporium told they have 30 days to vacate the building.
Sydney developer, Iris Capital, bought 1.6 hectares of the CBD, including The Emporium, late last year.
There’s no firm word on the immediate future of the old David Jones building, but Iris has previously outlined plans to transform the area into apartments and office space.
It says it will work to relocate The Emporium’s occupants.
