Redhead surf lifesaver Daniel Collins has moved into the top 20 in the National Ironman Series, following an impressive result in round two on the Sunshine Coast.
After failing to qualify for the final at the opening event in Queenscliff, Collins was inside the top two after the swim and on the ski in the decider at Coolum, before dropping back to finish sixth.
Lily Costello was 20th in her first professional final, with 18-year-old Gold Coaster Brielle Cooper leading the race from start to finish.
