SMART PARKING SENSORS FOR GOSFORD AND TERRIGAL
Parking struggles in the Gosford and Terrigal CBD’s could be a thing of the past, with council rolling out 450 smart parking sensors early next year.
Drivers will be alerted to a nearby park through a smartphone app.
It’s estimated around 30 per cent of all traffic congestion in the city centres is due to people searching for carparks.
“A lot of growth, a lot of visitors and that makes it a perfect place to use this technology to reduce congestion on the roads and make it more convenient to find a parking space.”
The federal government has contributed just over $110,000 to the project.
