DORA CREEK DRIVER CHARGED FOLLOWING MORISSET FATALITY
A man will face court after being charged with aggravated dangerous driving causing death, following a fatality near Lake Macquarie earlier this month.
A 73-year-old man died as the result of a crash on November the 8th, when the Toyota Hilux he was a passenger in lost control and collided with a BMW on Marconi Road in Morisset.
The Hilux driver, a 40-year-old man from Dora Creek, wasn’t injured, but was arrested at the scene after returning a positive roadside breath test.
He later returned an alleged reading of 0.253 and was charged with high-range drink-driving.
He has since been charged with aggravated dangerous driving causing death, and aggravated dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm, and will appear in Toronto Local Court next month.
The driver of the BMW suffered minor injuries.
