$135,000 WORTH OF CANNABIS ALLEGEDLY DISCOVERED AT BUSINESS

A hydroponic cannabis set-up has been discovered at a business near Lake Macquarie.
Police executed a search warrant on the Oakdale Road business in Gateshead at around 9:30am yesterday.
Inside, police allegedly discovered a number of cannabis plants being grown hydroponically, with a further 2.4kg of cannabis also located at the property.
Police say the drugs have a potential street value of $135,000.
A 55-year-old man was charged with cultivating a prohibited plant, possessing cannabis, and supplying cannabis.
He will appear at Belmont Local Court later this month.
