TWO TO FACE COURT OVER ALLEGED EAST MAITLAND BREAK-INS
Two men have been charged following a spate of break-ins in the Hunter earlier this week.
Police say a bank, a cafe, and a newsagency were broken into in East Maitland after having windows smashed on Monday night.
A computer was also allegedly stolen from a parked car in Turton Street, East Maitland.
Security notified police, and following a foot pursuit, a 20-year-old man was arrested.
He was charged with a string of offences, including aggravated break & enter, larceny, and being in possession of suspected stolen goods.
Further investigations led to the arrest of a 19-year-old man at a Metford home on Wednesday.
He was also charged over the alleged break ins, and both men will face Maitland Local Court later this month.
