Glen Innes’ minimum security prison has taken the first steps towards increasing inmate numbers.
220 are currently housed at the site, there’s room for more once more staff is brought in.
Two new full time positions have already been created.
The Department of Corrections now considering whether to increase the number of Senior Correctional Officers.
