MOTORCYCLIST CHARGED AFTER SHORT PURSUIT NEAR NEWCASTLE
Police have been involved in the pursuit of an allegedly stolen motorcycle near Newcastle.
Police were patrolling Wallsend at around 11:30pm on Sunday, when they noticed a motorcycle with no registration plate.
The rider has allegedly sped away after police tried to stop him, and a pursuit was initiated.
Shortly after, the 22-year-old male lost control and hit a parked car at the intersection of Aries Way and Croudace Road in Elermore Vale.
The rider sustained minor injuries and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.
After being released, he was arrested and charged with a range of offences, including police pursuit, driving while disqualified, and drug offences.
