Police have recovered an air rifle that was allegedly stolen more than a decade ago, during a vehicle stop near Lake Macquarie.
The Toyota Corolla was stopped on Awaba Road in Toronto just after midday yesterday, as police searched for a man connected to a domestic incident nearby.
During a subsequent search of 28-year-old man’s vehicle, police allege they found an air rifle that had been stolen from Martinsville in 2005.
The man was arrested and charged with possessing and unauthorised and unregistered firearm, and goods in custody.
