The region’s unemployment rate has hit a three year low.
The latest figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics show just over six per cent of residents are currently unemployed.
Tamworth MP Kevin Anderson has welcomed the figures, with nearly 80,000 people now working.
The latest youth unemployment figures are also looking better – they’re down to 15.1 per cent.
