Nambucca Shire Council has put to bed a decision made at the last council meeting to increase horticulture regulations.
The rescission motion, signed by the Mayor, passed 5 to 4.
It means council won’t go ahead with plans to require Development Applications for horticultural activities on land already designated to agricultural production.
Council has instead passed a motion to look into increasing regulations on properties defined as rural residential.
“What the council did propose though was to look at a planning proposal to require DA for horticulture in our R5 rural residential zone.”
