TURNBULLS FINED OVER ILLEGAL CLEARING

The son and grandson of Ian Turnbull, the farmer who gunned down a New South Wales environment officer in 20-14, have been fined a total of more than $700,000 for the illegal clearing of native vegetation on properties near Croppa Creek.

Cory Turnbull and his uncle Grant Turnbull both pleaded guilty to the unlawful clearing, which took place between 20-12 and 20-13.

A record fine was handed down to Cory Turnbull of just over $393,000, while Grant received a $315,000 fine.
