CATHOLICCARE OPENS FIRST UPPER HUNTER OFFICE

There will be more support for foster children and carers in the Upper Hunter, with CatholicCare today opening a new office at Singleton.
It means residents will no longer need to travel to Newcastle to access its counselling and clinical services.
“At the moment there’s around 18,000 kids in care in NSW, a large proportion of those are in the Hunter area and we desperately need to fulfill the care needs of those children and provide a safe home for life,” CatholicCare director Gary Christensen.
