Police have uncovered a major hydroponic drug lab in the state’s North West.
Officers from the Oxley Police District executed a search warranted at a house on Breeze Street in Carroll, east of Gunnedah, yesterday morning.
There they allegedly found 21 large cannabis plants and a firearm component.
A 41-year-old man was arrested, while a 5-year-old living at the home was placed into the care of a family member.
Child services have been notified.
The was charged with several charges including possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug, enhanced indoor cultivate prohibited plant-expose child, and acquire firearm part without authority.
The man was refused bail yesterday and will front court again in March.
