Great story, and I echo Councillor Reed’s sentiments that the bypass offers a wealth of opportunity to revitalise Macksville. The town, and particularly along the river, could present such a beautiful environment for travellers to stop and enjoy a real break whilst on the road. Not only that, but as locals we could be making much better use of this lovely setting. Cafe’s, restaurants, play and picnic areas, exercise and recreational facilities – we can bring all these things to this area in our town, and make it a genuinely attractive destination for all.
